My name is Crystal Gray, and I began teaching at Heritage Christian Academy in 2009. In my time at Heritage, I have been a substitute teacher, Division 1 special needs teacher and I began teaching Kindergarten in January of 2012.
I grew up in a loving, Christian home in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan. I graduated high school from Cornerstone Christian School in Moose Jaw (where I met my husband, Jordan) and went on to Prairie Bible College for a year, taking various Bible courses. I then moved to Edmonton to attend the University of Alberta. I graduated in 2009 with a Bachelor of Arts in Education and a minor in Special Needs Education.
I married my wonderful husband, Jordan, in 2009. We have been living in Calgary since then. We have three beautiful boys: Clark (2015), Thomas (2017), and Bennett (2019). We attend RockPointe Alliance Church together and enjoy the great sense of community there through volunteering and participating in weekly Bible Studies.
My family is still in Moose Jaw and we love to visit them whenever we are able. I have one older sister and a younger brother. My husband's family is here in Calgary and we enjoy spending most Sunday afternoons together.
I enjoy spending quality time at home with my family and when I have time to myself, I love to create. I like to bake and decorate cakes, and I love the sense of accomplishment I feel when I can take the time to do any crafty projects (although the time to do this is limited with three young children). I also love to do exciting activities like zip lines, luge tracks, and all the biggest amusement park rides!
I love teaching Kindergarten! There is something so special about this age group. They are always eager to learn new things and are so open to seeing God in all things throughout our day in the classroom.
I am very excited to be a part of your child’s Kindergarten year at this wonderful school and I know God will bless our year.
